Recipe 1 - Sandalwood Tanning Oil

I love our sunscreen and know the importance of protecting the skin from sun, but, after the sunscreen is absorbed, I love to apply this tanning oil for a nice sheen and to off-set some of the whiteness of the sunscreen.

This nourishing and natural tanning oil is easy to make and smells amazing!

Prep Time: 3 minutes

Materials

  • Small glass dropper bottle or glass spray bottle
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • ½ tsp red raspberry seed oil
  • ½ tsp carrot seed oil
  • 10 drops sandalwood essential oil
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil
  • 1 tsp bronze mica powder (optional)

Instructions

  • Mix all oils and mica powder (if using) and store in a dark-coloured glass container. If you decide to substitute coconut oil for olive oil, store it in a jar instead, as it won’t work with a pump.

Recipe 2 - Homemade Makeup Remover Pads

I love having a small pouch of my homemade makeup remover pads on hand as I travel.

Materials

  • 1 quart wide mouth jar
  • 1 Tablespoon of coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon liquid castile soap
  • 1/2 tsp witch hazel
  • 1 cup of purified very warm water
  • 3 drops Lavender and 3 drops Tea Tree essential oil
  • 1 package of cotton pads
  • Bowl

Instructions

  1. Mix liquid ingredients in bowl until well blended. Microwave 10 seconds at a time if water isn’t warm enough to melt the coconut oil. You don’t want it too hot or it will destroy the beneficial properties of the essential oils.
  2. Place as many cotton pads as possible in your jar.
  3. Pour your liquid mixture over your pads in the jar. Press pads down to help soak up the liquid. Add more pads to fit, pressing down.
  4. Secure lid tight and keep in a dry, cool place.
  5. Use your pads to remove your makeup daily.
  6. For travel, place 4-5 pads in a small Ziplock bag to store in carry-on.

I wasn’t always into natural health. I struggled with a painful skin condition for over thirty years, and that drove me to look for answers. When I couldn’t find any solutions using conventional medicine, I explored natural alternatives in the hope that they may work. Boy was I ever surprised when my skin cleared up! By cultivating healthy habits, an abundant mindset, and by using natural solutions, I look and feel healthier today – in my 50’s! – then at any other point in my life. It is now my joy and pleasure to help everyone else experience the same health breakthroughs that I have.

If you’ve been following this series, you now know two things: Your food can either fuel you or fog you. Balanced meals with fat, fibre, and protein are essential for real energy and hormone balance. Forking Yourself To Death [2/3] 🔥 The Big 3

In my last blog post, we talked about some simple steps to reduce inflammation and feel much better. Today, let’s talk energy. We want real, sustained, feel-amazing energy. If your body is constantly swinging between “wired” and “wiped,” the issue may not be how much you’re eating—but what’s missing on your plate. Here’s the truth: a low-calorie

Forking Yourself To Death [1/3] 🔥 When ‘healthy’ isn’t helping…

Let’s get one thing straight: you are not forking yourself to death because you eat cake on your birthday. You’re forking yourself to death when you hardly consider what’s on your plate—every day. For years, we’ve been trained to ask the wrong questions about food: Is it low calorie? Is it fat-free? Is it fast? But here’s a better question: Does this meal
