I shared about my cosmetic acupuncture journey in my last post. Today I wanted to let you know about what else I learned in my sessions: The importance of posture.
Essentially, if your posture is poor and there is a lot of tension, your face, neck, and skin will sag. I wish I had paid more attention to my posture when I was younger!
My daughter-in-law gave me a gua sha and facial cupping kit along with a simple routine I could do at home. This has helped so much with reducing puffiness and sagging in my face and has helped bring vitality back to my skin.
I also really enjoy doing it!
To address postural issues, I added two amazing routines to my lifestyle:
- I do daily stretches and exercises to help open my neck, chest, and trapezius.
- I attend weekly Pilates sessions. Pilates is an amazing practice for building core strength and improving posture.
It’s a journey for sure, but I’m so happy to be approaching aging in a more natural way. While the results are not instant, I can definitely see progress and am feeling confident in my overall appearance.
I recommend working with someone individually so they can assess the root cause of your aging concerns and postural concerns.
If you’re in Orangeville or Toronto, my daughter-in-law Karen, can help assess you as well as provide natural anti-aging treatments so you can look your best. She can also help you online if you’re not nearby. Here’s a link to her socials.
Part of the reason I get so much benefit from these exercises is because I supply my body with the foundational nutrients it needs. If you could use some of that too, consider VMG & EO Mega.
